Danstillståndet is a compilation of underground dance music for daring DJ's.
Its consist mainly of (but is not limited to) electronic music by gearheads and mad scientists from northern sweden.
The name refers to the law that was created in the fifties in sweden to controll danceculture through permits.
It was first mainly used to fight jazz and later the ravescene.
It was abolished in 2023.
Translated to english would the name be dance-permit.
The Swedish word for permit has a double meaning and can also mean "state of mind".
The name of the compilation also refers to the accidental meaning of the name (i.e the state of mind that dance puts you into).
The figures on the covers represent not only the mixed crowds at raves but also the diversity of types of modern music that people has danced to.
The album will not be finished on a pre-decided date but will instead continue to grow.
